About Hans

Hans Cauchi, a seasoned entrepreneur with over 30 years in the realm of International Luxury Hospitality has woven his career around transformative experiences.

As the former General Manager at renowned establishments like Velaa Private Island Maldives, Corinthia London and Lisbon, Cala di Volpe, and the Costa Smeralda Area Manager for Starwood, Hans brings a wealth of expertise to the luxury hospitality landscape.

In 2016, Hans planted the seeds of innovation with the founding of Patronus, a venture aimed at expanding his hospitality pursuits both within and outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

This spirit of expansion continued in 2017 with the acquisition of AllianceJet, a Private Jet Management and Charter company.

In 2022, Hans took to the skies with Hans Jet, a Private Charter company operating a fleet of PC-12 aircraft under his own name.

The journey continued with the creation of Hans Travel and Lifestyle, a luxury travel specialist company.

In 2023, Hans broadened his horizons further, launching Hans People, an Executive Recruitment firm with a global reach. This venture is dedicated to sourcing top-tier talent for the luxury Hospitality, Leisure, and Travel industry.

In 2024, Han’s vision for an ultra-luxury personal shopping service came to fruition with the unveiling of Hans Trends.

About Brendan

Brendan began his aviation career in 2003 as a Private Pilot and continued to fly until 2012.

He brought the global leading concierge and lifestyle agency Quintessentially to Shannon Airport in 2012, initially to set up a VIP passenger lounge for the US Pre-clearance flights. This has organically grown into a Licensed Ground Handling agent.

In 2014, Brendan & Hans purchased US Alliance Flight Support. It was this acquisition that forged the Alliance Aviation Group.

In 2017 Alliance secured its approval license from the DAA to expand its FBO business into Dublin Airport. In 2020 the group acquired an AOC in Malta and expanded the business into Aircraft Management which lead to the business development of the group in Saudi Arabia.

In 2022 Brendan signed the license agreement with the DAA to take over a 3,200m2 hangar in Dublin Airport and in 2024 he set up Alliance Aerospace, an IAA approved Part 145 Maintenance organisation offering line maintenance and AOG support in Dublin for corporate jets.

In 2025 the IAA approved the Alliance Passenger Screening and Security Program allowing Alliance to become a “Passenger Terminal Operator” and in conjunction with the DAA, build the new long awaited corporate jet centre.

Brendan holds the IAA approved nominated position as the “Accountable Manager” of the following group companies:

• Alliance Flight Support - NCC (Aircraft Management private)
• Alliance Aerospace - Part 145 Maintenance Organisation
• Alliance Aviation Group - Security & Terminal Operators license

About Dave

Dave Scully has over two decades of experience in Aviation Operations at senior management level. He previously held the positions of Managing Director Airlink Airways Ltd t/a Private Sky and Airport Director at Dublin-Weston Executive Airport and was also the founder of AEM Limited Aviation Consultancy.

Dave has an in-depth understanding of Airport regulation EU 139 / 2014 and ICAO Annex 14 & Document 9157 and a good understanding of the Planning & Development Act 2001 / Class 32 Exempt Development at Public Licensed airports including IAA ALM 002 & ALM 003.

Equipped with a diverse and invaluable set of specialisms including aviation management, consultancy, and development, Dave has established himself as a leading industry figure and innovator.

His proven track record of managing several key aviation projects from concept to execution, along with his comprehensive expertise of EU-OPS and ICAO Legislation, the helicopter and corporate jet market, aircraft management, business development, and marketing, has made him an invaluable asset to Irish aviation.

A widely respected advocate for the development and growth of business aviation in Ireland, Dave has an in-depth knowledge and experience of Aviation Regulatory Requirements, as well as both national and international aviation business.

Dave holds a BSc in Aviation Management from DCU Dublin and is the Founding Vice-Chairman of the Irish Business & General Aviation Association (IBGAA) and a board member.

About Declan

Declan is an aviation policy and compliance expert with over 25 years innovation, implementation, and leadership experience.

His career began with the DAA as an Airport Police/Fire Service Training & Development Officer, progressing to become the Security Liaison Officer for the design, construction, and operational readiness phases of Dublin Airport’s Terminal 2.

Declan continued to deliver a multitude of innovations for the DAA, such as the roadmap for One Stop Security measures which has dramatically increased capacity at Dublin Airport.

Internationally, Declan has supported State and Airport Operators around the world in recent years.

The range of support has been extensive, from leading regional teams of security experts on airport reviews to developing an Airport Emergency Plan and overseeing its implementation with a major emergency exercise in the Middle East.

Declan has worked with Red Sea International Airport in the development of its security programme and logistical plans for the wider Red Sea resort.

Declan also partnered with ACI World on their health accreditation programme and designed the current ACI World Public Health, Safety & Readiness Accreditation Programme.

Since joining Alliance in 2024, Declan has worked with the leadership team to establish and launch an independent General Aviation Terminal at Dublin Airport, the first of its kind in Ireland.

About Josephine

Josephine O'Connor is an accomplished aviation professional with over 29 years of experience across diverse operational and management domains within the industry.

With a solid foundation in Contracts Management, Compliance, Insurance Portfolio Management, and Account Management for client airlines and contract crew throughout Asia and Europe, Josephine has consistently delivered strategic and operational excellence in complex and high-demand environments.

In addition to technical expertise, Josephine brings extensive experience in Office Management and Human Resources, ensuring efficient organizational structures and fostering high-performance teams.

She has successfully negotiated critical agreements and implemented streamlined processes that enhance productivity and profitability.

Prior to joining Alliance in 2023, Josephine held senior managerial positions with Direct Personnel International Ltd (global aviation recruitment specialists, providing flight crew recruitment and contract hire options to airlines internationally) and AJ Walter Leasing Ireland Ltd (subsidiary of AJW Aviation, providing aircraft engine and spare parts lease arrangements to SME airlines globally).

About Rory

Rory is a qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA) with a strong background in Auditing, Accounting, and Financial Management. He trained and qualified with Price Waterhouse Coopers in the Assurance practice as a Senior Associate. Rory was in the Asset and Wealth Management department, where he gained experience across a wide range of complex structures, client portfolios, and regulatory frameworks.

Since joining Alliance in 2022, Rory has taken a central role in managing the Group’s financial operations. He oversees the preparation and consolidation of Monthly Management accounts for all group entities, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and compliance with statutory requirements. He also manages the delivery of Audited Financial Statements, acting as the key liaison with external auditors.

Rory is the primary contact between Alliance Aviation Group and aircraft owners, providing tailored Monthly Reporting and Analysis on each aircraft to support decision-making and cost management. His responsibilities extend to group-wide Financial Planning and Forecasting, including detailed variance analysis to track performance against budget and strategy.

Collaborating across departments and with international teams, including Alliance Executive Jets (Malta), Rory ensures alignment of financial practices across the Group. His experience in both professional services and industry positions him as a trusted advisor to stakeholders and a key driver strategic planning within the business.

About Liam

Liam began his career as part of the Shannon Airport Operations team before furthering his experience with the global trip support company, Universal Aviation.

During this time, Liam held a variety of roles from Operations, Training and Safety and eventually FBO Manager. He was also responsible for the development of training and compliance programs.

Liam spent several years with Westair Aviation, one of Irelands leading charter and aircraft management companies, holding the position of Director of Ground Operations. He was responsible for day-to-day logistics, flight scheduling and acting as liaison between aircraft owners, charter clients & the management company.

 

Since joining Alliance in 2023, Liam has been responsible for the day-to-day FBO operations in both Shannon and Dublin, ensuring seamless hangar management and ground support services for corporate aviation clients.

Liam also serves as a board member of the Irish Business and General Aviation Association, working alongside industry leaders helping to advance industry best practices and representing the interests of operators, owners and service providers within Ireland.

About Michael

Starting his career as a Licensed Aircraft Engineer, Michael has worked for various airlines in Ireland, UK and Australia.

Michael joined Alliance in 2024 as Technical Director for Alliance Aerospace Limited & Alliance Flight Support Limited.

He is responsible for the Part 145 & CAMO organisational approvals held by these organisations.

Michael brought with him 40+ years of experience at floor and executive level in aviation maintenance & engineering.

Since 2007 Michael has held the role of Chief Technical Officer in various airlines with Post Holder responsibility for PART 145 & Part CAMO.

He holds Executive and Non-Executive Director positions on the boards of two airlines.

About Melanie

Melanie Eustace joined Alliance Aviation Group in 2024, bringing over 15 years of international experience in human resources, organisational development, and employee engagement. With a Master’s degree in Human Resources Management from the National College of Ireland, Melanie has led HR functions across the healthcare, biotechnology, and aviation sectors, building high-performing teams and fostering inclusive workplace cultures.

Throughout her career, she has specialised in shaping HR strategy, driving talent development, and implementing governance frameworks that promote transparency, wellbeing, and sustainability. Prior to joining Alliance Aviation Group, Melanie held senior HR roles in global organisations, where she managed complex workforce planning, international recruitment, and employee relations across Europe, Asia, and the Americas.

At Alliance Aviation Group, Melanie is responsible for leading the company’s HR function and advancing its social governance commitments.
